Applications For BioSTART Fellowship 2027 Now Open!
A key highlight of this year’s Forum, the BioSTART Competition reflected BioInnovation Greece’s dedication to supporting emerging talent and turning innovative scientific ideas into promising business opportunities. Aimed at university students, young researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, BioSTART offers a dynamic platform that bridges science, technology, and entrepreneurship, encouraging the development of groundbreaking ideas into real-world ventures.
This year, 16 eligible applications were evaluated, with six teams selected as finalists. Three outstanding projects took home the awards. Proposals were evaluated for scientific merit, feasibility, social impact, and market potential by a multidisciplinary jury of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
After an initial evaluation, 6 finalist teams were invited to pitch their project during the BiG Forum before a live audience of scientists, investors, and the rest of the conference attendees. All the ideas presented made an impression to the audience with their creativity, scientific merit and possible market applications.
From these, three teams were selected as the 2026 BioSTART Competition winners:
