BioSTART Competition

The BioSTART Competition is a biotechnology entrepreneurship competition launched by BioInnovation Greece in 2025 to identify and support promising biotech ideas emerging from academia. It brings together researchers, faculty, and students whose projects show strong potential for real-world application and startup formation.

Projects are evaluated based on feasibility, commercialization potential, scalability, and societal impact. Selected teams present their ideas during a final pitching event, gaining exposure to experts from academia, industry, and the investment community, while receiving valuable feedback to help refine and advance their projects.

Through mentorship, expert guidance, and visibility within the biotechnology ecosystem, the BioSTART Competition aims to accelerate the transition of early-stage research into impactful biotechnology ventures addressing challenges in healthcare, the environment, and related fields.
